Gallivanting Around Nashville

April 14, 2014

The first place for today’s list of things to do and see in Nashville is pretty obvious and doesn’t need much explanation.

The Grand Ole Opry is an American icon that started out as a weekly radio broadcast. That show made country music famous.  I hope we can attend a show and do a backstage tour as well. This year happens to be the fortieth anniversary of celebrating music at the Grand Ole Opry House. They will be celebrating with special events and shows throughout the year. In March Backstage at the Grand Ole Opry was released to mark the occasion. It is an all-access, behind the scenes look backstage.

Another attraction I’d like to see is the General Jackson Showboat, Nashville’s one and only cruise. There are several packages to choose from with a variety of meal options, live entertainment, and a breathtaking view of downtown Nashville.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is Nashville’s premier hotel. It is a stunner!

It has spectacular atrium views and boasts nine acres of indoor gardens with cascading waterfalls and an indoor river. They even have a flatboat on the river. Wow. They also have shopping, spa treatments, fitness facilities, and even a golf course. I might feel like royalty if we get to stay there, and I might not want to ever leave. 🙂

I wanna go to the Grand Ole Opry!

    • Let’s go! It almost seems like you should go to Nashville, too. You’ve always been one of Tim’s biggest fans in his music.

Get Dizzy with me! I love comments and will answer them all.
