Union Station in Nashville

April 24, 2014

The Union Station Hotel in Nashville was formerly a nineteenth-century railroad station. This was an era when people dressed in their Sunday finest for travel and gathered in stations that looked more like castles than railroad terminals. The architecture was grand and the decor was ornate.

It has been transformed into a luxurious hotel and is a Nashville landmark. It combines historical designs with contemporary luxury. It is said to be one of the most majestic buildings in the Nashville skyline.

With 12,000 square feet of event space and the Grand Lobby with its 65-foot-high stained glass ceiling, bas-relief angels, and gold-leaf medallions, it is a popular and beautiful venue for weddings.

The hotel has 125 spacious and richly appointed guest rooms, each with a unique architectural personality, and 12 deluxe suites that provide additional space and upgraded amenities. No two rooms or suites are exactly the same.

I haven’t checked the prices for this hotel yet. I’m almost afraid to, but maybe when I do I will be pleasantly surprised. 🙂
